Broccoli City and P.I.A. Take on Earth Day
Edge Magazine was honored to take part in Earth Day festivities with the cool guys of Broccoli City at one of the most amazing art galleries in Los Angeles, Papillion Institute of Arts. The peace filled afternoon included sounds from DJ Printz, live performances from poet Nnamdi Okafor and lyricist Locke Kaushal and a host of local designers, artists and taste makers. The guys of Broccoli City along with P.I.A owner Michelle Papillion are dedicated to providing the youth of LA with ways to stay involved, educated and ahead of the pack in Los Angeles and its surrounding areas. The Earth Day celebration brought out the young and hip but also acted as a way for emerging artists to have their voices heard as a short film and video from Zambia were shown throughout the course of the day. Check out a video of a few highlights from the celebration and be sure to click through the gallery for candids! Hug the earth if you haven’t already. Recycle. Smile. Turn off the lights. You know…be kind.
