When I heard the news about Janelle Monae becoming the new face of CoverGirl, I was overjoyed to say the least. Janelle is the quintessential role model. She’s intelligent, otherworldly talented, GORGEOUS and original. When I first heard her music and then stalked became a full time fan of hers, I knew she was going to be one of those artists that just continues to break the mold. A beautiful black woman fully clothed and rocking natural hair as a standard of beauty?
