Khleo Thomas x Chris Batson “After Everything Fades” Release Party + Download

Sunday night, EDGE Magazine had the great honor of being an invited guest of Khleo Thomas and Chris Batson as they debuted their collaboration, After Everything Fades, in North Hollywood. The album releases today, November 13th and is produced entirely by Chris Batson. The project is a track by track offering of raw emotion and a look at a older, more mature lyricist in Khleo Thomas.

One of the standout tracks of the album is “Delay” and on Sunday the duo revealed the visuals that stirred emotion in everyone. The visuals combine images of haunting moments in history with gut wrenching performances from both Chris and Khleo to accompany their gripping lyrical assassination of the beat. Here’s what Khleo had to say about the song:

It’s one of the best verses of my career. I had a lot to get off my chest and I just put it all out there. People will hear that on this track.

Chris jokingly added,

Yeah, he killed me on that one.

Fans and critics of Khleo alike will no doubt be impressed at how much he’s grown as an artist. Even on the album’s more uptempo tracks, he displays a confidence and hunger that bleeds through every track. Batson creates a sound for the album that is a blend between a certain young producer from Chicago and Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.I.Am. No matter what kind of music fan you are; there is something for you on After Everything Fades, the album is an experience. Check out the visuals for the track “Becoming” below:
